Jonah's birthday

Jonah turned 9 years old on May 16. He got this new DS from us (his old one broke).

Lifeguard

Micah is officially a lifeguard. This was his first day of work (can you tell the clean uniform??).

His first day of work was on Jonah's birthday. Now he works for the city of New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department.

The swine flu 5-1-2009

With my Dad being in New Orleans, we decided that we needed to spend some time with him. Our prayers were answered when they closed the schools until May 11th because of the swine flu. Here is grandpa at the Sheraton Hotel in Metairie, LA.

Here are Micah, Jonah and Edith. Edith has been working for my parents for 13 years. She is now their caregiver. She is almost part of the family and is very caring and is a sweet young lady. She speaks very little english, and as you know Micah and Jonah really don't speak spanish. But they were able to comunicate somehow (she understands a lot of english - my Dad speaks to her a lot in english -, and with Micah's little spanish that he is learning in school, they did just fine).
